Dūkštos Oak Grove Path at Neris Regional Park

Address: Vilniaus gatvė 3, Dūkštos, Vilniaus rajonas

If you want to gain strength from the oaks that embody it, you won’t find a better place than the Dūkštos Oak Grove. At the grove, located just 25 kilometers away from Vilnius, there is a magnificent cognitive trail to be found between these impressive trees. It’s a great place for strolls, enjoying silence and a soothing hum of trees. Moreover, this is not just a grove, where you will merely find nature. This trail is surrounded by ancient Lithuanian pagan sculptures depict-ing gods and goddesses. You will find 38 of these here in total. Thus, you will not only be able to purify your mind, but also get acquainted with the ancient, closely nature related, faith practiced by Lithuanians. This place will suit even those who don’t like nature challenges – here you can choose from two roads: 1.8 and 2.3 kilometers in length. In addi-tion, there are no steep climbs or descents, so the path suits everyone. If, however, you decide to stay in the capital, you can stretch your legs and beat your daily step record within Kalnai Park, where you will also be able to find places re-lated to paganism. From the city center to this park – just a few hundred steps.
