Christmas Events in the Capital

Dec 01 - Dec 31

Hello kids. Hello everyone who is as happy as kids are at Christmas. Indeed, hello everyone! We believe that in Vilnius, even the Grinch would fall in love with Christmas. First of all, because we hold Christmas in the Capital events. This is at least 5-6 weeks of contagiously jolly-mood surrounded events, that take place not only in the heart of the capital, but various corners of Vilnius, too. And those who want to share their joy can participate in the International Christmas Charity Bazaar at Vilnius Town Hall. The second reason is that the city adorns itself with not just one, but two Christmas trees- a fairytale-like one in Cathedral Square and a heart-warming one in Town Hall Square. A Christmas train will take kids and their parents past both. Furthermore, a Christmas village is set next to each of these trees, where you will find tasty festive treats and gifts for your loved ones. The third big reason (literally), is the facade of Vilnius Cathedral, which annually becomes a giant screen projecting a 3D Christmas tale, loved by the people of Vilnius and its guests. Get here early and head towards the nativity scene crib set up within the square. From here, 650 steps will take you to the St. Anne Church, where a real donkey and ewes welcome visitors at the crib.
