Why would you go to a museum in the middle of summer, when you can see history come alive right beneath the blue sky? On July 5-7th, go to the Days of Live Archeology in Kernavė and get a feel for the life of nomad tribes. Not only see what life looked like in ancient times, but also hear about the Lithuanian ways of life back then from archaeolo-gists themselves. See craftsmen up close. They will show how stone and flint tools were made, ceramic pots spun, bone and amber processed, silver and bronze cast. Not only will they show you, but also invite you to try yourself. Have you ever seen “Game of Thrones”? You will be taken into a completely safe and family-friendly version of it, where every-thing can be seen and tried without fear. In addition, the archaic crafts and music are presented not only by Lithuani-ans, but also guests from abroad. Thus, within the archaic town created by Days of Live Archeology, you will be able to feel the spirit of various nomad lifestyles. It is both an active pastime immersing yourself in an ancient culture, and a great opportunity to learn some interesting things about one’s own history and that of others. A part of history also lies in Vilnius Amber Museum, where you will discover something unexpected with every step.
